DEFINITIONS
In ASME B31.3 and NFPA 30 publications, the advisory provisions shall be
considered mandatory, as though the work "shall" had been substituted for
"should" wherever it appears; reference to the "authority having
jurisdiction" and "owner" shall be interpreted to mean the Contracting
Officer.

Year 2000 compliant - means computer controlled facility components that
accurately process date and time data (including, but not limited to,
calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into, and between the
twentieth and twenty-first centuries, and the years 1999 and 2000 and leap
year calculations.
