Concrete mix design; G
Thirty days minimum prior to concrete placement, submit a mix
design for each strength and type of concrete. Submit a complete
cement, fly ash, pozzolans, [silica fume], ground slag
[polypropylene fibers], and admixtures; and applicable reference
specifications. Provide mix proportion data using at least three
different water-cement ratios for each type of mixture, which will
produce a range of strength encompassing those required for each
class and type of concrete required. If source material changes,
resubmit mix proportion data using revised source material. No
material shall be provided unless proven by trial mix studies to
meet the requirements of this specification, unless otherwise
approved in writing by the Contracting Officer. The submittal
shall clearly indicate where each mix design will be used when
more than one mix design is submitted. Submit additional data
regarding concrete aggregates if the source of aggregate changes.
