Flared End Sections
Sections shall be of a standard design fabricated from zinc coated steel
sheets meeting requirements of ASTM A 929/A 929M.

MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS

NOTE: The shape, size, thickness of sections, kinds
of materials, and weights for frames, covers, and
gratings for inlets and manholes, as well as the
amount of waterway opening for inlets and gratings
should be indicated on the drawings. The covers and
gratings should be designed to have ample strength
for the traffic conditions to which they may be
subjected. Fixed, straight-type galvanized steel
ladders should be provided for manholes over 3.66 m
(12 feet) deep measured form top of grate to invert
of outlet pipe.
