NOTE: This guide specification covers the
requirements for for primary substations and
associated load break switches and switchgear.
Comments and suggestions on this guide specification
are welcome and should be directed to the technical
proponent of the specification. A listing of
technical proponents, including their organization

NOTE: A primary substation as used in this
specification is a substation in which the primary
and secondary voltages are both rated 1000 volts and
above, normally in the medium voltage range of 5 kV
to 35 kV. This specification includes indoor and
outdoor applications.
