METAL BUILDING SYSTEMS (MINOR REQUIREMENTS)

NOTE: This guide specification covers the
requirements for small, simple, readily available
commercial products designed in accordance with MBMA
MBSM "(2002) Metal Building Systems Manual" with
loads and load combinations in accordance with
ASCE7. Examples are: pump houses, small storage
buildings, guard house, small maintenance shops,
etc.; more complex projects (those that use masonry,
contain cranes, have other special design
requirements, or contain high dollar value contents)
should use UFGS-13120 PREENGINEERED METAL BUILDINGS.
Comments and suggestions on this guide specification
are welcome and should be directed to the technical
proponent of the specification. A listing of
technical proponents, including their organization
designation and telephone number, is on the Internet.
Recommended changes to a UFGS should be submitted as
a Criteria Change Request (CCR).
