RECTIFIERS

NOTE: Air-cooled rectifiers will be used for most
applications in non-corrosive atmospheres. Where
highly corrosive atmosphere exist, the equipment
will be oil-immersed in a tank type housing. For
hazardous area applications, oil-immersed equipment
will be provided with an explosion-proof or
dust-ignition-proof housing, as appropriate.
Transformer tap adjusters will be provided in cases
where an automatic system is not provided. Variacs
should not be used where subjected to corrosive or
marine air atmospheres.
