Specified membrane attachment must be compatible
with the insulation specified. Membrane shall not
be adhered directly to polystyrene, perlite or
standard wood fiber, insulation. Facer on
polyisocyanurate insulations must be compatible with
the adhesive of a fully adhered membrane
application. Glass mat, moisture resistant gypsum
roof board can be used as an underlayment over
insulation for adhesive application of roof membrane
with approval of the membrane manufacturer. Top
insulation layer under ballasted roofing systems
shall be wood fiberboard, perlite, or glass mat,
moisture resistant gypsum roof board.
