NOTE: This guide specification covers the
requirements for construction of concrete pavement
for Army, Navy and Air Force airfields and
heavy-duty roads and hardstands, and vehicular
pavement greater than 8000 cubic meters (10,000
cubic yards.
Comments and suggestions on this guide specification
are welcome and should be directed to the technical
proponent of the specification. A listing of
technical proponents, including their organization
designation and telephone number, is on the Internet.
Recommended changes to a UFGS should be submitted as
a Criteria Change Request (CCR).
Use of electronic communication is encouraged.
This guide specification includes tailoring options
for ARMY/AIR FORCE versus NAVY service-specific
requirements, and BEAMS versus CYLINDERS/BEAMS
strength basis. Selection or deselection of a
tailoring option will include or exclude that option
in the section, but editing the resulting section to
fit the project is still required.
Brackets are used in the text to indicate designer
choices or locations where text must be supplied by
the designer.
