PART 1
GENERAL
**************************************************************************
NOTE: This specification has been prepared for use
where relief wells are to be constructed near dams
or levees to relieve the excess hydrostatic
pressures created by the presence of pervious strata
close to the surface. Relief wells should be
constructed of materials which will resist corrosion
when installed and should, where practicable, be
designed to have a service life equal to that of the
structure they are designed to protect. Factors to
be considered in determining selection of material
