Section 16050N BASIC ELECTRICAL MATERIALS AND METHODS, applies to this
section, with the additions and modifications specified herein.
1.3
DEFINITION
a.
Year 2000 compliant - means computer controlled facility
components that accurately process date and time data (including,
but not limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from,
into, and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, and
the years 1999 and 2000 and leap year calculations.
1.4
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Telephone distribution system shall consist of voice switching equipment,
inside plant cables, voice instruments, power equipment and batteries,
telephone management system, and other auxiliary equipment. System shall
be [directly connected] [connected via base dial central office (DCO)] to
public switched network in accordance with the rules set forth by FCC Part
68, and other appropriate authorities such as Public Utilities Commission
and local telephone company.
