The testing shall be in accordance with NFPA 72. The recommended tests in
NFPA 72 shall be considered mandatory and shall verify that all previous
deficiencies have been corrected. The tests shall include the following:
a.
Tests to indicate there are no grounded, shorted, or open circuits.
b.
Tests of each radio fire alarm transmitter/receiver/transceiver/
repeater.
c.
Tests of radio fire alarm monitoring base station for all required
functions.
d.
Tests of normal and emergency power supplies.
3.4.3
Training
The Contractor shall conduct a training course for operating staff in the
building where the system is installed as designated by the Contracting
Officer. The training period shall consist of [1 training day] [[_____]
training days], [8] [_____] hours per day and shall start after the system
is functionally completed but prior to the final acceptance tests. The
field instructions shall cover all of the items contained in the approved
operating and maintenance instructions.
