replacement of one dock leveler at an existing
facility may not require training. Check with
facility before deciding whether this training is
required since existing personnel may be
knowledgeable of dock leveler operations and
maintenance.

[Upon completion of the work and at a time designated by the Contracting
Officer, provide the services of a competent Technician regularly employed
or authorized by the manufacturer of the dock leveler to instruct
Government personnel in the proper operation, maintenance, safety, and
emergency procedures of the dock leveler. The period of instruction shall
be not less than one nor more than two eight-hour working days. The
training shall be conducted at the job site or at any other location
mutually satisfactory to the Government and the Contractor.] The
Contractor shall submit Operating and Maintenance Instructions as specified
in the Submittals paragraph.
