EXTERIOR LIGHTING INCLUDING SECURITY AND CCTV APPLICATIONS

NOTE: This guide specification covers the
requirements for lighting for roads, walks,
security, and closed circuit television (CCTV)
assessment.
Comments and suggestions on this guide specification
are welcome and should be directed to the technical
proponent of the specification. A listing of
technical proponents, including their organization
designation and telephone number, is on the Internet.
Recommended changes to a UFGS should be submitted as
a Criteria Change Request (CCR).
Use of electronic communication is encouraged.
Brackets are used in the text to indicate designer
choices or locations where text must be supplied by
the designer.

PART 1
GENERAL

NOTE: This specification does not include provision
for high-mast roadway and parking lot lighting
(poles over 18.3 meters (60 feet)). Requirements
for materials and procedures for special or unusual
design will be added as necessary for specific
projects. Quantity and quality of illumination will
conform to TM 5-811-1/AFJMAN 32-1080. Standard
details will conform to the general requirements of
TM 5-811-1/AFJMAN 32-1080, and may be modified to
suit project conditions.
Incandescent lamps, Fluorescent lamps, and Mercury
Vapor Lamps shall not be used for CCTV. In
addition, tungsten lamps other than infrared lamps
